Cafe de Paris – The Glasshouse

Area : 5000 sq ft

Year of Completion : 2017

The approach to the cafe is a small pathway, slightly hidden, to help with the transition from the Asian façade of the other restaurants in the site to the Parisienne inspired, cheerful vibe of the café. The pathway opens into a longer corridor, flanked with semi-outdoor seating on one side, leading up to the main glasshouse structure. The main glasshouse was built around two large trees in the backyard – a Neem tree and a Badam tree - which dictated the entire spatial planning of the cafe. The entire design in this case was conceived as an extension of the existing landscape of the site
